What is Clone Expert for Jira?
Clone Expert for Jira (formerly Template (Epic) Cloner for Jira) is a universal app designed to simplify both recurring and ad-hoc work.
Whether you work in software, HR, legal, or marketing – it lets you clone any Jira issue: epics, work items (issues), and sub-tasks, while keeping full hierarchy, comments, and attachments.
With a single template or one-time clone, you can quickly generate the tasks you need across your backlog(s).
Installation
You can find Clone Expert for Jira on the Atlassian Marketplace.
To install the app, follow the official Atlassian guidelines:
Clone Expert is available with a 30-day free trial.
For small teams, the app is free for up to 10 users.
Migration from Server/Data Center to Cloud
Switching from Jira Server or Data Center? Migration is seamless.
Clone Expert does not require data migration — simply install on Cloud, activate your license, and start cloning.
Please follow Atlassian’s Cloud migration guide to migrate our plugin to your new Cloud instance.
Your Commercial license doesn’t transfer automatically. To activate it on Cloud, please contact Atlassian.
