Clone Expert for Jira allows you to clone epics, work items (issues) and sub-tasks while keeping their structure, details and context.
One of the key aspects of cloning is how fields are copied. This page lists the supported fields that are preserved during the cloning process.
The table below lists all Jira fields currently supported during the cloning process. These fields can be copied from the source issues and are available for editing in the cloning form under the Additional fields section.
Even if a field is not explicitly selected in the Additional fields section, its value will still be cloned – as long as it’s supported by the app.

Custom fields and limitations
Most commonly used custom fields are supported. Some advanced field types (like integrations with third-party apps) may require additional testing. If you encounter a field that is not cloned as expected, please reach out to our support team.
Summary
Supported fields ensure that cloned work items in Jira are complete, accurate and ready to use without manual editing. With Clone Expert, you can be confident that both standard and custom fields – along with hierarchy, comments and attachments – are preserved in the cloning process.
