Frequently Asked Questions
About our latest Template (Epic) Cloner for Jira updates
What does moving to Forge mean for me as a user?
The transition to Forge enhances security, improves performance, and ensures seamless updates. You don’t need to take any action – everything is handled automatically.
Can I still clone Epics?
Yes, you can! The new feature allows you to clone any issue type, including Epics, Stories, Bugs, and more, along with all their sub-tasks.
Will this update affect my current workflows or data?
With our transition from Connect to Forge, a manual update by your Jira Administrator is required. Administrators need to update the app to the latest version available on the Atlassian Marketplace to enable the new features, such as cloning any issue type.
Once the app has been updated to Forge, most future updates will be delivered automatically. However, in rare cases (e.g., when permissions change), manual approval may still be required by the administrator.
For Admins:
Update Steps:
- Log in to your Atlassian Marketplace account as an admin.
- Navigate to the app listing for Template (Epic) Cloner for Jira.
- Click Update to install the Forge-based version of the app.
For Users:
- If you don’t see the new features, please reach out to your Jira Administrator and verify that the app has been updated to the latest version.
